Services and menu
Your Google service list, prices, AI descriptions, and the food menu.
After the category, services are the second strongest relevance signal: the category says "what type of business you are", services say "what exactly you offer". They're managed from Profile β Services and written to your Google Business Profile.
Adding a service
- Open Profile β Services.
- Enter the service name, description, and (optionally) a price.
- Save β the service is sent to Google.
There are two kinds of services:
- Structured services β Google's predefined service types for your category (named per locale, e.g. "Wedding photography"). Using these gives the best match with Google.
- Free-text services β your own service that isn't in the list.
The price currency is derived automatically from the business's region β you don't select it manually. If the Google push fails on save, you'll see a "couldn't be sent to Google" warning; the service is still saved, and saving again re-sends it.
AI service descriptions
You can generate an AI description for each service (the AI button on the row). The AI quota is daily, per business.
Audit target
The SEO Audit scores services in the profile category β the target is at least 3 services. No services β "warning", 3+ β "good".
Food menu
If your category is eligible (restaurant, cafΓ©, etc.), the Food Menu tab appears. You can add sections (e.g. Starters, Mains) and items in each (name, description, price). The menu is sent to Google.
If you don't see the Food Menu tab, your business category doesn't support menus on Google's side; review your category selection.
Why it affects ranking
A rich service/menu list tells Google clearly what your business offers and lets you match more search queries. Category + services + a keyword-rich description strengthen relevance together.
