Offers and events

Coupons, terms, validity window, and publish scheduling.

Updated:

Offers and events are special post types that move high-intent customers to act. Technically they are OFFER-type posts — the Offers screen is an offer-specific view over the Posts engine (same infrastructure, same publish/permission/scheduling rules).

Creating an offer

  1. On the Offers screen, open New Offer.
  2. Write the content (or generate with AI) and fill the offer-specific fields:
  • Coupon code (one-click copyable on the card)
  • Terms (conditions of use)
  • Redeem online URL (on offer posts this field applies instead of the Google click button)
  1. Validity window: start and end date.

When you "Publish", a title + start + end date are required. The validity window (when the offer is valid) and the publish schedule (when the post goes out) are DIFFERENT things: if you pick a publish day, the offer isn't published immediately — the scheduler posts it that day.

Statuses

Tabs: All, Published, Publishing, Draft, Expired. Offers whose end date has passed become "Expired".

Why it affects ranking

An active offer drives high-intent clicks and coupon redemptions on Maps; the SEO Audit scores having an offer post separately and it strengthens the profile activity signal. Events do the same job as dated, attention-grabbing content.
