Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698

1. Data Controller and Legal Basis

Localghost is the data controller within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. This Disclosure Text has been prepared pursuant to Article 10 of the KVKK to explain the procedures and principles regarding the processing of your personal data.

2. Categories of Personal Data Processed

The following categories of data may be processed:

  • Identity Data: first name, last name
  • Contact Data: email, phone
  • Customer Transaction Data: subscription, payment, invoice records
  • Transaction Security Data: IP, session, and log records
  • Usage Data: preference, behavior, cookie data

3. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Account creation and provision of the service
  • Management of subscription, payment, and invoicing processes
  • Carrying out support processes
  • Information security and misuse prevention activities
  • Fulfillment of legal obligations
  • Commercial communication activities where explicit consent exists

4. Parties to Whom Data Is Transferred and Purpose of Transfer

Where necessary for the performance of the service, your data may be shared in accordance with the legislation with payment institutions, infrastructure/hosting providers, business partners providing technical support services, and public authorities authorized by law.

  • Authorized institutions and organizations in case of legal obligation

5. Collection Method, Legal Basis, and Retention

Data is collected through electronic forms, contract processes, platform usage records, and support channels. Processing is based on the legal grounds set out in KVKK (Turkish Data Protection Law) Article 5. Data is retained for the period stipulated by the legislation or required by the purpose of processing.

6. Rights of the Data Subject (KVKK (Turkish Data Protection Law) Article 11)

Under the KVKK, you have the following rights:

  • To learn whether your personal data is being processed
  • To request information if it has been processed
  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with the purpose
  • To request the correction of incomplete/incorrectly processed data
  • To request its deletion or destruction
  • To object to an adverse outcome arising from analysis by automated systems
  • To request the compensation of damage arising from unlawful processing

7. Application Procedure

You may submit your applications under the KVKK to our support channel, together with information verifying your identity, in accordance with the relevant legislation. Your requests are concluded within the legal periods.

The application mechanism is carried out within the framework of KVKK (Turkish Data Protection Law) Article 11 and the Procedures and Principles for Application to the Data Controller.
